The National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority (NPRBA) with support of the Regional Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management Programme (BIOPAMA) of the World Conservation Union (IUCN), hosted a Protected Area Management Effectiveness (PAME) National Workshop on 20th - 22nd November 2018. Day 1 of the workshop focused on the IUCN PAME Framework  and Tools, while Day 2 focused on PAME Tool Review and in-country site selection for monitoring and assessment. The workshop concluded with a field trip to two (2) of the three (3) pilot sites namely, the Kings Hill Forest Reserve and the South Coast Marine Conservation Area, both on mainland St. Vincent. The Tobago Cays Marine Park (TCMP) located in the Southern Grenadines, is the other site selected for PAME monitoring and assessment under this new initiative here in SVG.
