Thirty-Three (33) grade six (6) students of the Pamelus Burke Government School are now more aware of the importance of water quality monitoring (WQM). This was made possible through a partnership with the National Environmental Days Commemoration Committee (NEDCC) and the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority through its Water Quality Monitoring and Education Programme.

On Wednesday September 18th, 2019 the students were engaged in a practical demonstration on analyzing water quality samples to observe the Earth Echo Water Challenge, formerly known as the World Water Monitoring Challenge.
