The NPRBA were among several agencies across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines that participated in Phase II of the Tradewinds Exercise 2019 (TW19), hosted by the Government of SVG.

Tradewinds Exercise is a Caribbean focused training designed to improve the region's response to natural disaster, and land and maritime threats among others. The training exercise was directed and sponsored by the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in collaboration with CARICOM Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACTS), the Regional Security System, (RSS), the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), law enforcement agencies and military units from the Caribbean, Europe, and North, Central and South America.

From Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th June, 2019, NPRBA’s Park Rangers, Mr. Maxwell Erasto Robertson and Mr. Sternley Walker as well as members of the Beautification Crew were all given a practical exercise in Preventing Chain Saw Injuries during Tree Removal after a Disaster. In addition, they received First Aid Training; the objective being to minimize injury and prevent death when in the field. The training took place in Belmont, Fenton and Vermont, respectively.

The SVG-leg of TW19 exercise was held Wednesday 14th-Thursday 19th June 2019 and focused on field training in maritime security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
